WHY JOIN A GIVING CIRCLE?

• The average millennial donor gives $481 annually, however many millennial donors do not track their charitable giving. By joining a giving circle you will be able to track your giving and support over 1,0000 youth with one gift.

• There are 1300+ giving circles registered in the United States. Each giving circle offers donors the opportunity to support local community service initiatives through volunteerism and charitable giving. By joining the COOL Kids Giving Circle (CKGC) you will join the only giving circle in New York City run by young adults of color serving youth of color, now that's being one of the COOL Kids!

• In a recent survey of African American donors, 57% of donors indicated they feel responsible for supporting organizations that positively impact the African- American community. If you feel called to serve, answer the call with COOL Kids!

GIVING CIRCLE GOAL
CKGC will serve as a form of participatory philanthropy for a group of young professionals of color to collectively pool their resources to support organizations and initiatives serving youth of color. The goal of the CKGC is to raise a minimum of $10,000 to support school supply drives, toy drives, youth programming, and community initiatives for youth in the Bronx, Harlem, and Brooklyn. CKGC will demonstrate the power of young philanthropist of color to serve, lead and empower our communities!

 

GIVING CIRCLE DETAILS 

The giving circle will meet on a quarterly basis to discuss program proposals and recommendations for signature programs. Each member of the giving circle will contribute a minimum of $250 annually (payments can be made in installments on a monthly or quarterly basis) and have the ability to recommend funding recipients. COOL Kids is a registered 501(c)3 organization. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
